| Canvases For Cures |
Taking inspiration from the abstract painter Kandinsky, Canvases For Cures aims to create a wealth of artistic work by musicians, inspired by music or their creation or that inspired them. They plan to use this wealth of exploratory art to create funding for their two chosen charities – Macmillian Cancer Trust and the NSPCC and for local community improvement. CFC gets musicians and fans to produce works of art influenced by a band, a song, lyrics; anything to do with music. Firstly, to show through creativity that this music does help. Secondly, to compile it into books and sell them, giving the profits to cancer charities, child abuse charities and a charity of each artist’s choice, because they also intend to try and sell artworks from musicians.
