One of music’s most popular bands, Linkin Park will be heading out on the road this October/November for shows scheduled in Germany, Austria and the UK with more dates to follow. In conjunction with the release of their imminent fourth studio album and the tour, MTGH is offering you, the fan, a chance to win a free one month membership to the band’s official fanclub – Linkin Park Underground.

Rules are simple, here’s what is up for grabs!

Glaswegian indie pop band Belle & Sebastian will be heading our way this August for a tour of Southeast Asia. The group are confirmed for shows in Indonesia and Singapore earlier that month, no other dates and performances have been scheduled but do check back for updates. Concert details are as follows:

We weren’t lying when we said we needed help with the site! As many of you know, we run More Than Good Hooks purely out of our own money and free time but most importantly, the passion for live music. With changes abound, we are now busier than usual and are looking to expand the site with your help. More Than Good Hooks is currently in search for Reps from all over Southeast Asia. As an MTGH Rep, you are required to do the following (depending on your areas of strength):

• Actively attend gigs, concerts and music events at your own expense unless stated otherwise; it would be a plus point if this is something you already do
• Review gigs, concerts and music events attended (please provide some samples of your work)
• Review albums and releases
• Spearhead and manage street teams in your area
• Interview artists (where applicable)
• Concert photography
• Know your local concert industry

Requirements:

• Represent MTGH in a professional manner
• Passion for music and concerts – this is an absolute must as these elements fuel the website
• Preferably of 18 years and above
• Honest, reliable and trustworthy
• Good command of the English language
• Able to travel (possessing your own transport is a plus)
• Able to communicate with the MTGH staff on a regular basis, willing to discuss and share ideas
• Able to meet deadlines where necessary

The indie rock trio from Florida had released their sophomore effort titled Spain last August which peaked at #138 of the US Top 200 Billboard Albums chart, a rather impressive feat. Being fans of the band, we figured we would provide them with some exposure in this region and featured them as our band of the month in October 2009 on the website.

As mentioned on Twitter several days ago, the Green Day street team will be launched today and we are keeping to our word. We are seeking highly motivated and committed fans to be a part of this so if sounds like it’s your calling – we want you! As a Green Day street team member, you will be promoting the band’s latest release, 21st Century Breakdown and be rewarded for it!

We have a new feature in the form of band chats and the very first installment is set to take place in the next week and a half featuring none other than our Band Of The Month, Russian Winters.
