UPDATE 02.12.12: Example’s shows in Asia have been postponed due to an injury. Read the statement under the cut.
British singer and rapper Example will be performing in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore this December with DJ Wire. The artist released Playing In The Shadows, his third album in September 2011. Details as follows:

Unfortunately, due to an earlier sustained injury, all shows in Asia has been postponed. Official statement:
EXAMPLE is very disappointed to announce the postponement of his forthcoming tour in Asia during December. The decision was taken after receiving medical advice and considering his increasingly demanding schedule over the next few months.
In September, Example received treatment for injuries to his Achilles heel sustained from his active stage performances. These injuries have the potential to cause life-long damage to Example’s legs, and he takes it very seriously. It was well-documented that he had to wear a brace around his ankles and use ice on a regular basis. Treatment went well.
However, following a week of promo duties and several appearances prior to the release of his new album, Example experienced a recurrence of the problem. Upon further consultation it was also revealed that air travel also exacerbates the condition.
The planned Asian shows involved nine events in eleven days and an incredible amount of travel time, which is impossible for him with his ankles being in such a condition as they are. Upon consideration of this and the many media commitments that he has to do in the UK in early December, as well as prioritising his long-term physical health, Example has no choice but to withdraw from shows and keep the rest of the schedule as quiet as possible to allow time for his legs to recuperate and become fully healed.
Example is very sad to have had to withdraw from these shows that were planned for December, but hopes they can be re-scheduled into 2013 as soon as his schedule allows.
