For the first time in Southeast Asia, Singapore will play host to the inaugural Social Star Awards this May, at Marina Bay Sands.
Co-hosted by two of Hollywood’s established and award-winning actors – Jessica Alba and Jeremy Piven – the three-hour Social Star Awards show will be streamed LIVE on YouTube to a global audience on 23rd May. The Social Star Award winners are selected based on Starcount’s statistics, which accumulates and charts the data derived from the public’s social media activity throughout 11 largest networks worldwide, and honours some of the biggest celebrities and brands at this unique event.
Complementing the awards ceremony is the Singapore Social Concerts on 24th and 25th May at The Meadow, Gardens By The Bay. Entertaining fans at the show on Friday are Carly Rae Jepsen, CeeLo Green, Psy, Sky Blu, and Blush, while Massachusetts’ Aerosmith are set to headline Saturday’s event with various special guests.
Dubbed “the ultimate concert weekend”, it is not difficult to see why – with a star-studded line up set to perform over two days, and the numerous personalities in television, music, movies, sports that are being presented with accolades in their respective categories, it more than lives up to the tagline.
