This September, the 1 World Music Festival will make its debut in Singapore as a two day event, complimenting the 2013 Grand Prix. Its line up thus far includes Far East Movement, Yuna, Tinie Tempah, Cosmic Gate, and several other performers, with more to be announced in the coming months (1st July, and 1st August). Stereophonics returns to Southeast Asia this July, with a scheduled performance in Singapore. The Welsh band had previously toured the region in 2010, and recently released their eighth studio album, Graffiti On The Train, in March 2013. Concert details as follows:
Floridan rapper Pitbull will be performing in Indonesia this September, almost two years since his last concerts in the region in November 2011. Pitbull released his seventh studio album, Global Warming, in November 2012. Concert details as follows:
Heineken Green Room returns this June, with a staple mix of both local and international acts to entertain music fans. The Drums and Totally Extinct Enormous Dinosaurs (TEED) will headline the event, and joining them are Malaysian acts Twilight Actiongirl (TAG), The Deer Society, and Darren Ashley. Californian rock band Linkin Park will be performing in the Philippines this August. This marks the band’s second show in the country since 2004, and the first SEA date on their upcoming tour of Asia. The sextet released their fifth studio album, Living Things, in June 2012. Details as follows:
Philippines’ Bazooka Rocks which made its debut last September will return in this August 2013. The Maine, Forever The Sickest Kids, and The Wonder Years amongst others, had graced the stage at the inaugural event last year. Festival details as follows:
Late April saw a special double bill of Coheed and Cambria and Circa Survive hitting two cities on their Southeast Asian tour – Singapore, and Malaysia (the bands also performed at Philippines’ annual Pulp Summer Slam with various other acts). Both groups – from New York and Philadelphia respectively – were touring in support of their seventh and fourth records, The Afterman: Descension, and Violent Waves. Legendary acts gathered in Singapore in late March for the fourth installment of the annual Rock and Roots festival at Fort Canning Green over a two-day period. Jimmy Cliff, Bonnie Raitt, Robert Plant presents Sensational Space Shifters were amongst artists on the star-studded line up which thrilled fans on 21st and 22nd March.
