Note that it’s stated as August 5th and not the 4th on the website – it’s either a typo or perhaps there may be an actual change in the date to accommodate the madness from traveling to and from KL/SG/KL. We’ll keep you posted. Update: It’s the 5th.

Daughtry Ticket & Concert Info

We’ve gathered all the relevant details on Daughtry‘s inaugural shows in South East Asia in late July as part of Sony Ericsson’s Traffic Jam street party, making it easier for those of you who intend to see the band live.

INDONESIA
To watch them you can visit Traffic Jam mall exhibition or Sony Ericsson Shop and purchase mobile phones to get a ticket that is valid for 2 persons with mobile phones that start from Rp 400,000 price range. Bluetooth headset/speaker purchases also entitle you to tickets.

The event will be exclusive and is not open to the public, it will be held at Plaza Parkir Timur Istora Senayan on 25th July at 6pm.

MALAYSIA
The event will take place at 1 Utama, Central Park Avenue (the street outside the 1 Utama Shopping Centre) on Saturday, 26th July 2008 and they are expected to perform for over an hour.

It’s is an exclusive event for 3,000 party goers and tickets are not for sale. To obtain the tickets you need to purchase the selected Sony Ericsson Walkman phones – W350, W580 & W910. Upon purchase (from June 25th onwards) you will receive a pair of tickets FREE and be in the running for the meet & greet with Daughtry, 100 pax max.

MTV Asia Awards Update

An article was published in today’s Star on the event, read it here. According to the text, performers include OneRepublic, Panic At The Disco, Leona Lewis and The Click Five.

If you want to score yourselves invites to the event or be in the mosh pit, be at the roadshow this July. Details as follows:

Date: July 19th (Saturday) & July 20th (Sunday)
Venue: Cineleisure, Kuala Lumpur
Time: 12pm – 4pm

Mosh pit auditions will be held on Saturday, July 19 at Zouk, Kuala Lumpur at 6pm.

Avril Lavigne To Perform In Kuala Lumpur, Singapore & Manila This August/September

This will apparently be her sole South East Asian tour date, so if you’re a fan outside of Malaysia then it’s time to plan your journey to Kuala Lumpur. The concert is being organized by local promoter Galaxy Group, read the article in today’s Star here.

Update (29/06/08): After a little research, it turns out that the KL show isn’t the only SEA concert that will see Avril perform at, as she will also be playing in Manila, Philippines. Details as follows:

Update (13/07/08): The concert will be held at Stadium Merdeka, tickets were supposed to have gone on sale yesterday on the 12th. The tour date is now listed on her official website and MySpace profile.

Panic At The Disco Update & Death Cab For Cutie

A heads up for PATD fans – just last week we informed you that the band will be performing at Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur on August 4th with the source being none other than the dates listed on FBR. The KL show has been added to the band’s MySpace today and it is also now up on their tour page, check it out for yourselves. We will keep you posted on ticket info, so don’t forget to check back for updates!

Most of you would’ve known this by now – Death Cab For Cutie will be performing at the Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore on August 12th, after their Summer Sonic stint. It seems to be their only SEA tour date and is likely to remain that way from what we’ve heard, so if you’re a fan, it’s time to plan that trip down south. Tickets are available via Sistic from June 27th onwards, going at these prices:

Festival Updates

There will be several festivals taking place around the region in late July to the first week of August, with bands that are mostly on the Summer Sonic line up. For many, this marks their first shows in South East Asia/Asia so this would be a fantastic time to catch them in such a setting.

These have already been listed these in the tour dates section but we’ve taken the liberty to compile a list which summarizes the shows with all the relevant info, should you intend to attend and travel to any. It’s going to be one mad week!

Panic At The Disco @ 2008 MTV Asia Awards & Stadium Negara

The band will be at this year’s MTV Asia Awards, held at the Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands on August 2nd and if you [Malaysians] thought that was the only time we would be able to catch a glimpse of the band – put that to rest. Panic At The Disco will peform a headlining show that is scheduled for August 4th at Stadium Negara, so you can sing along then and have the opportunity to witness them in their live element.
