The good people of Chugg Entertainment have brought in Brooklyn based indie band The Drums, for their first of two shows in Asia on 16 May 2011 which was held at St James Powerhouse. And surprisingly, the show started on time.

Frontman Jonathan Pierce managed to get the crowd moving with his energetic dance moves on stage, together with the band’s upbeat tunes. Keyboardist/guitarist Jacob Graham was seen doing his infamous slow “orchestric” hand gestures in opposite of Jonathan’s raw energy.

Playing only one new number titled “Money” and the rest mostly from their self titled album, the band closed the show with “Forever and Ever, Amen” but the boys were back on stage and generously played 3 more tunes after the audience requested for an encore, singing to “Down By the Water”.

Great band, short one hour set, intimate show. The Drums will always be in our memories. Forever and ever, amen.
