Malaysians were recently treated to a double bill concert at the end of May which featured New York pop punk outfit We Are The In Crowd and Florida quintet We The Kings in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. The concert were the bands’ first shows in the country, and the event also featured local acts Kyoto Protocol, Oh Chentaku, and Bunkface. While the acoustics left much to be desired and technical difficulties resulted in a shorter We The Kings set (five songs were cut from the setlist), the fans made the best of the time they had with the bands as they cheered for their favourites and sang along. Californian rock group Train recently performed in Malaysia and Singapore respectively, their first headlining concerts in both countries on their trek to promote their latest album, California 37. The band is no stranger to Southeast Asia, having previously played a showcase in Singapore last December, and headline sets in Indonesia and the Philippines.
