Concert Review: Metric Live in Singapore, July 2012

July ended on a high note as Canadian quartet Metric performed to a packed venue at the Esplanade Concert Hall on the 31st. Singapore marked the band’s sole tour date in Southeast Asia to promote their fifth record, Synthetica, which was released just the month before in June. Needless to say, while it may have been the band’s first performance in the region, we certainly hope it won’t be their last! Read our review in the link below. Last month, the British indie rock group The Kooks performed at the Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore, their only stop in Southeast Asia on their Junk Of The Heart tour. Concert Review: MTV World Stage, July 2012

The fourth installment of MTV World Stage made its return to Asia in July, with performers mainly of the pop variety. Held in Malaysia yet again, the event took place on familiar turf at the Surf Beach in Sunway Lagoon with a line up featuring Malaysian artist Mizz Nina, K-Pop darlings Jay Park and Kara, and Canadian singer Justin Bieber.
