Renowned British-American musician Saul Hudson aka Slash of Guns N’ Roses fame will be performing in Singapore, Indonesia & Malaysia this August before heading off to Japan for Summer Sonic days later. Touring in support of his solo self-titled debut album Slash, these are the only confirmed shows thus far but we hear it’s likely there will be more SEA dates penciled in. Another band who happens to be “in the neighbourhood” for Australia’s Soundwave Festival will pop by the region next year for a show. The British alt rock trio Placebo are expected to play a show in Jakarta, Indonesia this February as part of their tour in promoting the band’s latest album, Battle For The Sun. The quartet from Oklahoma known for their successful hits such as “Swing, Swing” and more recently “Gives You Hell” will be performing in Jakarta just days after their appearance at MTV World Stage in Malaysia. Fans in Indonesia and around the region are able to witness the band live next month as part of their I Wanna Rock Tour, you don’t ever want to miss out on this gig! Concert details as follows:

Last year’s saw artists such as Akon, Ashanti and Blackstreet amongst those entertaining R&B, hip hop, rap and soul fans in Jakarta and if you enjoyed yourself then, be prepared for 2009’s! This year’s is also set to be spread out over two days in late October and although it is still awhile away, the organizers are wasting no time – tickets are on sale and they have a wishlist of artists for the line up which is bound to get some of you excited.

The Californian girl group is set to appear in our region once again with confirmed shows in Jakarta, Singapore and Manila this June.
