New York pop rock band Against The Current performed a headlining set in Singapore recently, making it their third show in the country in three years. The trio are on the road in support of the band’s debut album, In Our Bones. Supporting the group at the show in September were local favourites, The Summer State.

Canada’s Simple Plan made their much awaited return to Singapore on their recent Southeast Asian leg of the band’s Taking One For The Team Tour last September, alongside stops in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand to promote the group’s fifth record. Local band The Summer State supported the pop punk quintet at this show.

Postmodern Jukebox were in the region recently, with headlining shows scheduled in Singapore and Malaysia in September. Entertaining fans with their renditions of contemporary music into various vintage genres, the ensemble’s performance at Malaysia’s KL Live was the final date of the tour, which ended on a high note.

The annual Singapore Grand Prix continued to solidify its position as Singapore’s premier motorsports and entertainment extravaganza, completing its ninth edition recently from 16-18 September. For music fans, the 2016 installment presented another stellar selection of artists on its lineup with performances by Kylie Minogue, KC and the Sunshine Band, Bastille, Queen + Adam Lambert, Halsey, and Imagine Dragons amongst many other local, regional and international acts over the three-day period.
