Canadian pop punk outfit Simple Plan were in Singapore recently for a concert on their ‘Get Your Heart On! Tour’ in Asia to promote their new record. The long wait since their last performance at 2008′s SINGfest was forgiven as soon as they took the stage, reassuring fans they still had it in them to put on an energetic and fun-filled live show. Singapore’s year of concerts started off strong with New York band Scissor Sisters being the first international act to play in the country on 9th January at Fort Gate, Fort Canning Park. We were there to catch the quintet live, and if this show was anything to go by, the year is looking to be a great one for gig goers! Washington’s Death Cab For Cutie returns for their second show in Singapore, having sold out their first in August of 2008. The band are scheduled to perform in March, and released their seventh studio album titled Codes And Keys in May. Concert details as follows:

Canadian rock band Sum 41 will perform in Indonesia and Singapore this April. Their fifth studio album, Screaming Bloody Murder was released in March. Concert details as follows:

Singapore too will have its very own metal event of the year in 2012, featuring Judas Priest and Lamb Of God this February. The English and American heavy metal bands will share the stage at this concert, one which you will not want to miss! Concert details as follows:

Californian band Foster The People will perform in Singapore this January, prior to their tour of Japan. The trio released their debut album Torches in May, which spawned the hit single “Pumped Up Kicks“. Concert details as follows:
